About Us


The Recent work within the Islamic Cultural Centre (ICC) Library:

back on the 9th of November 2015, it was decided to renovate the library by carrying out a major project. On the 12th of November 2018, Mr Ziyad Wanis was appointed to carry out and supervise the actual grouping and sorting of monographs from the ground up.  He has played an important role by utilising his skills, knowledge and understanding of the library and information profession. He also introduced a library management system and modern security technology.

Now, the Library contains over 25,000 monographs, including rare titles and journals in several languages; however, the vast majority of the library stock is in Arabic.

The library stock has been grouped using the Dewey decimal classification scheme. The Library is organised in a way to accommodate all of the knowledge categories and have been grouped along the wall starting from Class:000 and ending with Class:999 located towards the far end of the library hall in the following order:

The Islamic theology section is the largest category of the ICC library. This section holds most of the Islamic subsections, such as exegesis, Jurisprudence, traditions, creed(s), life practice, ... etc.
